Many successful companies have a history that deserves some recognition. Swiftech Automation is such a company.
Swiftech Automation Pte Ltd was incorporated in Singapore on 19 June
1992. The company was founded by Mr Henry Goh, who is the CEO of the company until today.
Swiftech originally started out by providing specialised software to local
medical clinics. It then moved on to provide system integration, networking and also distribution of networking products. In 1995, the company decided to move into internet business when it saw the
exponential growth of the Internet.
In April 1997, Flextech Holdings Limited invested in Swiftech. In May 2000, after a brief courtship with Flextech, Henry Goh decided to
buy back all of Flextech's equity in the company and privatize it once again.
Our Lynchpin of Service
With the deregulation of the telecommunication services in
Singapore on 1 April 2000, Swiftech was successful in obtaining a Service Based Operator (SBO) licence. The licence allows Swiftech to operate a tier one Public Internet Service, Virtual Private
Network (VPN), International Simple Resale (ISR) and also VSAT.
Today, Swiftech moved on to providing telecommunications services. It owns a telco switch enabling it to aggregate traffic with
other carriers operating out of Singapore. It also operates its own teleport of VSAT antennas connecting it to other countries in the Asian region.
